OVERVIEW Modules
The Community Safety and Crime Prevention Practitioners
Training Program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you
need to support, develop, and/or implement community safety and crime prevention
solutions or initiatives. It consists of two modules:
Module 1, Introduction
to Community Safety and Crime Prevention - Designed
for anyone who is interested in learning about crime prevention and community
safety.

a wide range of
and highlights the differences between these efforts and the .
- Provides
many opportunities for self-assessment, including short self-tests and a final
exercise.
Module
2, Planning and Implementing a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Project
- Intended for:
- Practitioners already involved in the field
- Volunteers working
with a community policing office or police detachment
- Volunteers organizing
a crime prevention program in their community

Provides advanced training in crime prevention processes and practices.
- Describes
the process of planning and managing a prevention
initiative - from the community needs assessment
stage to actual implementation.
You must
successfully complete Module 1 before you can take Module 2. The latter is password-protected.
AFTER you submit your assessment exercise for Module
1, you will be given step-by-step instructions for setting up your own ID and
password in order to access Module 2. You MUST have an e-mail
